SawHorse Inc’s commitment to building the #1920sMakeoverATL to Passive House standard (PHIUS) was not just to showcase how an old house could be made better, but also to pave the way for energy-efficient building techniques in Georgia. Although PHIUS had been around for over a decade and many builders in our market had been trained, we were surprised to find that we would be the first to accomplish this feat in the state.
Our team of architects, engineers, and product partners have invested significant time and effort to ensure that this project is groundbreaking and serves as a valuable educational resource. To that end, we have created a virtual tour that will allow visitors to witness the full transformation of the house through its three different phases. Once the house is 100% completed, visitors can observe the various design and building techniques that contribute to its energy efficiency.
We are proud to showcase our project partners, who have been instrumental in the success of this endeavor. Their expertise and dedication have helped us create a model home that is aesthetically pleasing and environmentally responsible. The full list of our project partners can be found on our website, and we encourage you to check them out and support their businesses.
At SawHorse Inc, we believe sustainable building practices are essential to creating a better future for ourselves and our planet. We are thrilled to be at the forefront of this movement in Georgia and look forward to sharing our knowledge and expertise with others in the industry. Stay tuned for more updates on the #1920sMakeoverATL project and our ongoing commitment to building a more sustainable world.
